No outdoor event is safe in the Great British summer, as MMF has experienced a few times, so last year MMF decided to hire a GREAT BIG CANOPY to guard everyone from the all too familiar wet weather. Although there were only a few spots of rain, the canopy gave ‘piece of mind’ for both organisers and hundreds of festival goers. On the other hand, should the sun decide to shine this year – you won’t have to worry about your shoulders getting burnt! You may bring your own gazebos for private use (tents not allowed), but remember, if you don’t take them home, chances are they will not be there the following morning, as the clear-up operation takes place overnight.
Public Safety
As MMF is popular with many of all ages, the local Brackley police team are on site for the duration of the event, in the mobile station usually situated toward the back of the field. Organisers have contact with the police via radio, should any incidents take place and assistance is required. In addition, there will be first aid cover throughout. In the event of ‘Lost and Found’ – please report to either mobile station, or first aid depot in the sports pavilion. Organisers of MMF would like to point out that no responsibility can be taken for the safety of the public, particularly children, who remain under the supervision of parent or guardian at all times. If you need the assistance of the crew – look out for those in the same colour t-shirts- they shouldn’t be hard to find!!
This year, we aim to designate an area for families where there is easy access to toilets/changing facilities and designate a separate area for the ‘younger crowd’ nearer to the bar.
