Giving everyone a last opportunity for a ‘get together’ before the summer holidays begin. The village playing field plays host to many residents and people from the surrounding area. Last summer saw one of a most successful music fests as it raised over£11,000. Monies raised were shared between the playing field association and the proposed New-pre-school development. Nearly 2000 people attended the event, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the ten-hour feast of the best in local music. From 1pm, the streets in Middleton Cheney are lined with families making their way to the festival, loaded with deckchairs, picnic tables, gazebos and of course, their ‘refreshment!!’ On arrival, they choose their spot to relax for the rest of the day. MMF is seen by many as the ‘annual’ event of the village situated on the Oxfordshire/South Northamptonshire border.
